The Dutch Embassy Cautions All Nationals to Leave Ghana Immediately
In what appears to be a preparation for a global shut down, The Dutch Embassy in Ghana has issued a strong statement urging all Dutch citizens to leave for home without delay. In the past few hours, many airlines have suspended flight services to Ghana and several destinations across the globe. There is also a strong indication that Ghana is preparing to shut down its airports to flight from the Schengen region where the Corona Virus is escalating by the day.
In view of this, the embassy has advised its nationals to consider returning home especially the more vulnerable ones such as the aged or those with an underlying medical conditions. Due to the global disruption of air traffic and the strong chance that departure from Ghana will soon be no longer possible, we strongly advise you to act quickly if you and / or your family members want to return to the Netherlands. This applies especially for people who are at a greater risk of complications in disease, for example due to underlying medical disorders
